Terence Tagoe & Carissa Eckle
The Refugee Collective Farm (formerly New Leaf Agriculture) is a certified organic, non-profit farm that creates livelihood opportunities for refugees through food access initiatives in the refugee community. The farm utilizes regenerative agriculture techniques which are codified in the farm’s Resilient Farm Plan, the first of its kind in Texas.
Terence Tagoe, the Farm Manager, completed the farmer starter and cultivator programs at Farmshare Austin prior to joining the Refugee Collective team. Carissa Eckle, the farm’s Food Access Manager, received her degree in Sustainability from UT Austin with a focus on sustainable food systems.
