Daniel A. Martínez Faccio is a Boricua chef with over 20 years of experience in the culinary industry. He is the son and grandson of restaurant owners, so cooking is in his blood. Wherever he goes, Daniel carries Puerto Rico with him. Daniel lives in Austin with his wife and two cats, Esteban and Soya.
Aurora Torrado Arroyo is a Afro-Boricua pastry chef with over 10 years of experience. Before joining the Mercado team, she was Corporate Pastry Chef for the Emmer & Rye HG and worked at 1 Michelin star restaurant in NY, Dirt Candy. Being a part of this team has reignited her passion for baking and she hopes to blend her native root flavors with novel Mexican techniques.
