Carolynn & Samuel Moffett

Hi! We are a regenerative farm located in, TX that raises grass fed and finished beef, pasture-raised eggs, as well as pasture-raised chicken and pork. We left careers in digital advertising in central Austin back in 2017 with the dream of raising our family on a farm around nature, land, and animals. Despite having very little experience in farming and having a very steep learning curve in those initial years, we both love the farm we are creating and have not looked back since.

We are passionate about our practices in regenerative farming from rotationally grazing our cattle, to planting various crops throughout the year which both serve our animals (as forage) as well as the soil itself (creating nitrogen, and helping to build topsoil). We work hard to ensure our animals are able to express their natural behaviors and have well-rounded rations for optimal health. Thanks so much for taking the time to come meet us!

Where to find Shirttail Creek Farm:

We attend three farmers markets in Austin: SFC Downtown, SFC Sunset Valley, and TFM Mueller. We also have two stores, both called Local Pastures where we sell our beef and eggs. One store is a small trailer down at 1301 W Oltorf street, and our new brick and mortar store is located at 5501 N Lamar. Customers are also welcome to pick up at the Farm vía preorder from our website.
