Becky Hume
Becky came to farming from a strange direction. The child of international humanitarian aid workers, she spent most of her childhood in China and Thailand. Even as a kid, it was clear to her that nutrition was the cornerstone of the health of a community. She’s never doubted her goals in life– she’s always known she wanted to farm. After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in international agriculture, she spent 10 years working on Organic and sustainable farms before taking the leap to start her own farm in 2019.
VRDNT’s mission is simple: to nourish the land and our local community by growing high quality, nutrient dense, super fresh veggies. Believing relocalizing agriculture is a radical step towards improving our individual health and community resilience!
