In the past four years, Field Guide has supported local chefs and farmers to the tune of $102,676 for their thoughtful work and partnership. We cover food and labor costs for participating chefs and farmers making it easy for them to simply show up, display their immense talent, and engage the community with their culinary expertise.

This year’s Field Guide Festival features a taco omakase by Joseph Gomez of Sana Sana Taqueria, in partnership with Hannah Beall of the Central Texas Food Bank Garden. We chatted with Joseph about participating in Field Guide, the evolution of his work, the importance of migrant workers, and storytelling through cuisine.
Returning for the fourth year, Mill Scale Metalworks is once again helping the festival run smoothly for chefs and farmers. Founded by Matt and Caleb Johnson in Lockhart, TX, Mill Scale creates offset smokers and live-fire grills trusted by chefs worldwide.

Field Guide is proud to again lock arms with our partner, Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB). A non-profit that’s been feeding Texans and fighting hunger for over 40 years, Central Texas Food Bank represents everything that’s right about ending hunger in Central Texas.
In less than 100 days, we’ll be gathering for the fourth year of Field Guide Festival. Joining us in Austin in 2025 will be 22 new chefs and farmers from across Central Texas that we can’t wait for you to meet.
